How do I find it?
Searching for your own unclaimed money can be straightforward or quite complex, depending on the state you are investigating. Typically, government agencies holding unclaimed funds, with the exception of the ACT, do not impose fees for filing a claim. However, they may request documentation to validate your ownership of the funds or your connection to the deceased individual in whose name the funds are registered.
